What is Medicare
Insurance Pro Nc - Onslow, Nc's insurance agency for Medicare insurance education and enrollments. Medicare supplements Are senior health insurance plans that are available to people age 65 and older, people who have been on Social Security disability for 24 months, or have certain medical conditions that may qualify them.
Many people have a misconception that Medicare is free and that it covers all your medical bills, with no cost to the individual on Medicare. Unfortunately, this is not correct. There are premiums and coinsurance that are not covered by Medicare, and they are the Medicare beneficiaries responsibility.
Medicare has several different parts; A, B, C, D and F and while A, B and C may have zero monthly premiums in certain situations, they are not free. Medicare A is paid out of your payroll deductions or your spouses. Medicare part B may be paid by Medicaid cost sharing for low income individuals, or you would pay a monthly premium, and Medicare part C may be subsidized by the government with certain plans.

Do you know what Medicare covers?
Get the help you need!

Medicare is, as with most health insurance, very complicated and confusing to most people. Fortunately you don’t have to learn it all on your own, It is best to have an insurance advisor, "agent", assist you with your questions, and help you in enroll in a plan that will be the most benificial to your needs and affordability.
Insurance advisors, "agents", go through annual training, and are licensed by the states they work in. Agents are able to educate people on Medicare, and help enroll beneficiaries in Medicare supplement plans, Medicare Advantage and Medicare prescription drug plans.
There are SHIP programs available to assist people, but ther advisors are not licensed, and are just volunteer workers, so they are not able to enroll you, only assist you.
